Ardan Özmenoğlu was born in Ankara in 1979. She graduated from the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design in the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at Bilkent University in 2002. Between 2003 and 2006, Özmenoğlu worked as a part time landscape architecture and urban designer at Kentimaj Urban Design & Architecture Company in Ankara. In 2005, she worked as a teaching assistant in the course named “Introduction to Printmaking” for a summer school session at Bilkent University. She completed master’s degree in the Department of Graphic Design at her alma mater in 2006. Özmenoğlu worked as a guest artist at the Kala Art Institute, Berkeley in the USA (2007), Ateliergemeinschaft Milchhof e. V., in Berlin (2007) and Frans Masereel Centrum, Kasterlee in Belgium (2008). In 2007, she was a part of San Francisco Art Institute Visiting Artist Summer Lecture Series.
Since 2002, Özmenoğlu has had her solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. She generally creates her arts using original print onto different materials. Among galleries she worked with are: Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin and Lower East Side Print shop, New York. As of today, Özmenoğlu continues to work at her workshop in Istanbul.
